by Coach Edwards The Bandera Middle School Cross Country team braved the wet and chilly weather on Saturday and competed in their second cross country meet of the year. While our team results were less than spectacular, there many individual accomplishments. Braden Cox placed 4th in the 8th grade boys race, and Kaitlin Doebbler earned the 2nd place medal for the 8th grade girls. Every single one of the 37 runners improved their times, some, like Madison Hacker and Gracie Wilson, made huge jumps, setting PRs by over 3 minutes. The BMS Bulldog team travels to Poth on Saturday.

Several years ago, with the help of the BISD Education Foundation and local funding, the BMS library started acquiring materials for a Makerspace. Over the years, the Makerspace collection has grown to include circuitry sets, a 3D printer, robots, sewing machines, Legos, crafts, a Cricut, and more. We've finally outgrown our closet and are excited to begin planning a designated Makerspace area for students to tinker, craft, and create. The BMS Geek Squad met this a.m. to formalize our fall programming and start brainstorming how to customize our new Makerspace area. Stay tuned. It's going to be AWESOME!
